Full Immersion Installation

The Mercury Projects were a series of multimedia installations co-created by Grace and Megan Jamieson using sensory and found objects to birth multidimensional parallel universes from everyday materials.

 

Reflecting on the subject of the 'unknowable' — everyday materials, unhinged from their expected context, were utilised to point to worlds beyond the mind; hinting at sensory spaces, which defy all existing human paradigms and formal structures.

 

Within the breaking of physical and intellectual moulds, this abstract world of elements appears to both expand and contract, becoming portals to psychic realities, which transcend the familiar; hinting at a life and language — beyond Earth.
